Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do walk-ins?

Occasionally, but Mike primarily works by appointment. Booking in advance ensures you get proper time, a custom design, and a prepared artist. Reach out through the booking form to get started.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Pricing depends on size, complexity, and placement. Mike charges a day rate for larger pieces and a flat rate for smaller work. Pricing is discussed during consultation. Quality tattoos are an investment — the goal is work that holds up for a lifetime.

Can I bring my own design?

Yes. Bring references, sketches, or inspiration images. Mike will take your concept and translate it into something that works well as a tattoo — considering line weight, scale, placement, and longevity. Collaboration is welcome; copying another artist’s work directly is not.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Availability varies. Smaller pieces may have shorter lead times. Large-scale work, sleeves, or back pieces should be booked several weeks to months in advance. Submit your inquiry early and we’ll find the right window.

Will I see the design before my appointment?

Custom designs are typically finalized close to the appointment date. Mike presents the design the day of the session. If major revisions are needed, they’re handled at that time. Trust in the direction agreed upon during consultation is important.

Do you tattoo minors?

No. All clients must be 18 years of age or older. Valid government-issued ID is required at the time of the appointment, no exceptions.

What styles do you specialize in?

Traditional and Black & Gray are Mike’s primary focuses. Both are built on clean lines and lasting saturation — exactly what makes them age well. If you’re unsure whether your idea fits, reach out and ask.

Deposit Policy

Deposits & How They Work

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment date. It goes directly toward the total cost of your tattoo and confirms your commitment to the booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Your deposit holds your appointment slot and covers design preparation time.
  • The deposit amount will be communicated during the consultation.
  • If you reschedule with adequate notice, your deposit transfers to the new date — one time only.
  • Failure to appear or same-day cancellation forfeits the deposit in full.
Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation Policy

Life happens. Mike understands that. But his time is valuable and appointments are held specifically for you. Please read this before booking.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance to allow the slot to be filled.
  • Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice forfeit the deposit entirely.
  • No-shows forfeit the deposit and may be declined future bookings.
  • Rescheduling is allowed once with proper notice — your deposit transfers to the new date.
  • If Mike needs to reschedule, your deposit is fully protected and transfers automatically.
Aftercare

How to Care for Your Tattoo

A great tattoo is only half the work. Proper healing is your responsibility. Follow these guidelines to protect your investment.

First 24 Hours

Keep the wrap on as instructed. When you remove it, wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap and warm water. Pat dry. Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion or aftercare balm.

Days 2–4

Wash 2–3 times daily. Keep moisturized but don’t over-apply. The tattoo will begin to peel — this is normal. Do not pick or scratch.

What to Avoid

No soaking in pools, hot tubs, or the ocean for at least 2–3 weeks. No direct sun exposure on the fresh tattoo. No tight clothing rubbing the area.

Long-Term Care

Sunscreen is your tattoo’s best friend. Apply SPF when in the sun. Staying hydrated and moisturizing regularly keeps color and line work vibrant longer.

Touch-Up Policy

Touch-Ups

Mike stands behind his work. If your tattoo heals unevenly due to something within his control, a touch-up will be addressed.

  • Touch-ups are considered on a case-by-case basis after the tattoo is fully healed (minimum 4–6 weeks).
  • Healing issues caused by improper aftercare are not covered as a complimentary touch-up.
  • Touch-ups for tattoos done by other artists are available at standard rates.
  • Reach out via the booking form to request a touch-up consultation.
